Valentines Dinner Visitor

I want to share with you a ghost story that happened to me while I was out for dinner on Valentines Day several years ago. I had taken my partner out for a special dinner to an upscale restaurant which was in an old house. The original structure was more than 150 years old and had been rebuilt after a fire about 80 to 90 years ago. It was converted into a restaurant about 20 years previous to the night we were having dinner.

Now, I do not see ghosts; instead I can feel their presence. So, on this evening, the waiter had just taken our order and we were just chatting while waiting for our dinner. I could feel a presence standing where the waiter had been. At first, I just thought it was the residual energy of the person, yet it felt different. I felt into the presence and discovered that it was the spirit of a woman. I asked what she was doing there, standing at the table and she indicated that she wanted to move on from this place.

I inquired further into who she was and why she was there. I found out that her name was Grace and she had died about 100 years ago, at the age of 24, from an illness. She had lived in the house at that time with her husband and a young family of two children, a girl and a boy. woman-ghost-with-manWhen I inquired as to why she had not crossed over at the time, she said that she had stayed behind to be with her family (not knowing that had she crossed over, she could have come back to visit). She also said that her family had since all grown up and passed away themselves. Even their children were now old and ready to pass on and she no longer wanted to remain here. By this time our meal had arrived, so I asked her if it would be okay with her if I helped her across tomorrow. She said after waiting more than 100 years another day would be okay

We enjoyed the rest of our meal and my partner remarked about the experience saying that it was so appropriate to have such a loving situation on Valentines Day. The next morning, I assisted Grace with completing her journey. During the session, she related to me that she had actually died on Valentines Day and felt so guilty about leaving on that day. She also shared her gratitude as she “crossed”.

This story exemplifies the truth about ghosts or spirits being the essence of a person who has died and did not cross over because of love and attachment to those left behind. They are not the scary, menacing apparitions as portrayed by Hollywood movies. So, the next time you experience a ghost or spirit do not be afraid. Instead find a way to help them to complete their journeys.

Lots of love to you on Valentines Day and ever other day.

P.S. – Don’t forget to share your love each and every day.
